That's why we pour so much heart into every celebration we capture — because years from now, it won't be the party favors or the centerpieces anyone remembers (although you'll have great photos of them), it will be the way it felt to be there. Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, I always bring a vibrant energy and a genuine love for family storytelling to every event I cover. As the owner of Alex Hopkins Studios, I specialize in Bar and Bat Mitzvah photography and videography, capturing families with a rare blend of authenticity, beauty, and heart.
For over a decade I've served as Music Director at Congregagtion Kol Ami in Westchester, NY, and have been part of more than 400 Mitzvah services, and technical producer for 7 straight High Holy days — experiences that have given me a deep, personal reverence for the significance of this milestone celebration.
That background shapes the way I work behind the camera. I feel my greatest gift is for connecting with families, and especially with the Mitzvah child, putting them at ease to really capture their true essence on one of the best days of their lives (so far!)
